Designed in the 1960s by Sergio Rodrigues (1927-2014), these Meia Pataca armchairs are made of a solid Rosewood structure and comfortable loose cushions in black leather.
Like many designers of Rodrigues' generation, he dreamed of commercializing well-designed furniture produced in series.
In 1962 Meia-Pataca factory-cum-store was launched. The idea was to expand distribution and reduce production costs. Industrial thought is visible in the structural solution, applying easy-to-assemble sections and leather straps to support cushions.
