Bossa’s publishing program grows out of the same research that informs our exhibitions and collection. Through archival material, historical documentation, critical essays, and the close study of objects and interiors, each publication expands the conversation around Brazilian design and its cultural context.

Joaquim Tenreiro: Inventing a modern tropical living

Dedicated to Joaquim Tenreiro, the publication brings together archival images, restored works, and critical essays to offer new perspectives on his practice and legacy. Conceived alongside Bossa’s exhibition in New York, the book places historical records in dialogue with the works presented in the show, revealing the breadth of Tenreiro’s contribution to Brazilian modern design.

A Casa Paulista: Branco & Preto and Forma S.A.

Our forthcoming publication revisits the modern interiors of São Paulo in the 1950s and 1960s through the relationship between furniture, architecture, art, and industry. With a focus on Branco & Preto and Forma S.A., the book brings together more than 50 historical designs and extensive archival research to examine how interiors helped shape São Paulo’s modern identity.

DISCOVER BRAZILIAN DESIGN

Founded in 2017 by Brazilian architect and researcher Isabela Milagre, Bossa Furniture has grown into a global reference in collectible design. Over the past seven years, we have expanded our reach, serving distinguished interior designers, collectors, and institutions worldwide. With a collection of over 1,800 carefully sourced pieces, our work is rooted in extensive historical research, uncovering and preserving significant design narratives. Our headquarters in São Paulo spans over 560 square meters, housing specialized workshops in upholstery and wood restoration, along with dedicated studios. With a team of nearly twenty skilled professionals, we are known for our meticulous logistics and handling expertise, ensuring an impeccable experience for each acquisition. In March 2024, we opened our first gallery in Manhattan, located in the heart of Chelsea, furthering our commitment to bringing exceptional Brazilian design to an international audience. In May 2025, we will expand our presence in New York with the launch of a second exhibition space.

SALON ART + DESIGN NYC

November 05 to 08, 2026

Our presentation at Salon NYC 2026 brings A Casa Paulista to New York in a new iteration. First presented in São Paulo, the exhibition is part of Bossa’s ongoing research into Brazilian modern design, with a focus on the work of Forma S.A. and Branco & Preto. For Salon, we revisit this research through Georgia Hauner’s approach to scenography and display, conceiving the booth as a complete living environment where furniture, art, and everyday life come together.

SAVAGE CUSHIONS

The SAVAGE cushions are part of the aesthetic proposal presented by Bossa Furniture for SP–Arte 2026, it is grounded in the Safari Chic aesthetic, popularized in the 1960s by Yves Saint Laurent. The project establishes a dialogue between Italian design and North African references, emphasizing craftsmanship as a means of artistic expression and communication. The experience is complemented by the SAVAGE textile capsule by Renata Correa, which features fine textiles from Dedar, Larsen, Loro Piana, and Rogers & Goffigon. The fabrics explore variations in texture and organic patterns, evoking natural references in a subtle and contemporary way, while reaffirming fatto a mano as a timeless language.
