About
Graduated in 1941 from Politécnico Di Milano in the Architecture course, the Italian-born furniture designer Carlo Benvenuto Fongaro arrived in Brazil in 1947.
Fongaro collaborates in the development of the first experiences with modern, simple, and creative furniture for offices, using rosewood and structured in square steel tubes.
In several companies, such as Ambiente and Probjeto, he also created furniture for homes, where he used some materials that identified with the local culture, such as natural fibers.
