In the Caco series, Lucas Recchia dives deeper into glass materiality,
exploring the feeling that the aesthetics of broken glass evokes in people by using broken glass fragments that industry would discard.
"Caco" is the Brazilian word for "shard." For the tables manufacturing process, all shards are polished and cleaned one by one. After that, a glass mosaic goes to more than 800 degrees to consolidate and soften the corners of the overlapping fragments, achieving a textured surface. Unlike the translucid and amalgamated aspects in the Morfa series, Caco explores the material's irregularities – each piece is unique.
In addition, the side tables and coffee tables by the Caco series are fused with 100% solar energy.
'Caco' pieces are indicated for indoor use, such as side or coffee tables.
