This set of eight chairs was designed by Joaquim Tenreiro (1906-1992) in the 1950s. These breathtaking chairs are made of solid Rosewood, with slatted backs and cane seats.
As with other pieces created by Tenreiro, the lightness is present not only in the weight per se but in grace and functionality in space. In this case, the chair's harmony is achieved thanks to precious details, as the symmetric proportions (the width, depth, and seat height dimensions are the same) and slight curves in the backs, undetectable when viewed from the front.
