The BEG Armchair was created in 1967 by Sergio Rodrigues (1927-2014) initially for the meeting table of the Banco do Estado da Guanabara (Guanabara State Bank). The State of Guanabara was one of Brazil' States from 1960 to 1975, which existed in the territory corresponding to the current location of the municipality of Rio de Janeiro.
With a solid wood frame, the armchair gained a seat upholstered in polyurethane foam covered in leather. This piece was designed to have back and arms in a single piece, respecting Rodrigues' furniture tradition: comfort.
The BEG Armchair has two versions, with or without chrome casters. This piece have casters fully functioning and black leather upholstery.
