The iconic Brazilian designs inspired many other craftsmen and small manufacturers with their vanguard production concerning Brazilian materiality and the "modern values" of the form itself.
This round coffee table was produced in the 1960s with a solid Rosewood base and a marble top. The table's base comprises two parts joined only by fitting cutouts in the wood.
The turned legs are an recognizable element present in well known designs by Sergio Rodrigues (1927-2014), specially those from the family or furnishings line called Tacape (Bludgeon). The Mole armchair and the Mocho stool are some of these pieces, classified according to the shape of their legs.
The top is a stunning marble with soft pink spots, original from the period.
This piece is in very good vintage condition. Wood restoration service is included as a courtesy.
