Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler's production is complex, handcrafted, and extensive. Made of iron, fabric, or wood, their pieces of furniture are highly designed and well-executed, with ingenious constructive details – very distinctive of any production of the time in Brazil.
This expandable dining table is an example of the incredible creations manufactured by Forma Móveis e Objetos de Arte S.A. The growth of cities and the verticalization of urban centers in the 1950s created the need to make better use of home spaces.
The four-seat table made of solid Caviuna with a veneered top is extendable for six seats, with a practical engine that hides the lateral tops under the principal. If the user wants to enlarge the table, it is only necessary to pull the extension pieces below the top.
