This round side table is a rare piece designed by Carlo Hauner (1927-1997) in c. 1948, commercialized by Móveis Artesanal.
The gorgeous piece stands out by its delicateness, with a small round top made of Rosewood resting over a three feet basis of iron with brass tips – one of Hauner and Eisler's signatures.
Móveis Artesanal was a pioneer company in uniting interior designs and furniture production in series, founded by Carlo Hauner, who soon joined with Martin Eisler and Ernesto Wolf.
The company, formerly named Pau Brasil, was owned by Lina Bo Bardi and her husband, Pietro Maria Bardi. After the acquisition by Hauner, Eisler and Wolf became part of the company, with Sergio Rodrigues in the interior design department and Georgia Hauner as a set designer for the store and store windows, bringing a lot of innovations to the furniture sector at the time.
