This stunning Caviúna piece was designed by Joaquim Tenreiro and produced in 1968
by Tenreiro Arquitetura e Interiores – located in Rio de Janeiro. Its simple design stands out with the subtle detail of the rectangular-shaped feet, positioned diagonally and facing the tabletop center.Tenreiro championed furniture that was “formally light,” as he described. Working in wicker and tropical hardwoods to suit the hot climate of Brazil, he is a prime example of a designer making the most of material constraints.
