The powerful partnership between Carlo Hauner (1927-1996) and Martin Eisler (1913-1977) in the 1950s as Forma S.A. Móveis e Objetos de Arte's creative directors resulted in many incredible pieces that furnished the Brazilian interiors for decades.
This bench was designed by Martin Eisler in the 1955 and produced by Forma S.A. Móveis e Objetos de Arte. It consists of a very well-constructed piece in solid Caviuna, with thin slats rhythmically positioned supported by two feet with the shape of a rectangular frame. One of the most incredible details to pay attention to is the slats' perfect fittings on the laterals and the center.
In a furniture piece with a constructive formula already so well consolidated, what makes it stand out are the details - and this bench certainly has a lot to admire.
The piece is in its the original condition.
