This rare sofa was designed in 1955 and produced by Forma, a company directed by Carlo Hauner (1927- 1996) and Martin Eisler (1913- 1977). This piece is an icon and illustrates some advertisements for the company in the 1950s, besides its matching armchair.
The highly designed pieces produced by Forma S.A. Móveis e Objetos de Arte during the 1950s and 1960s in Brazil are very well-executed. Although the biggest highlight has been through the iron pieces, Carlo Hauner and Martin Eisler's production is even more complex, hand-crafted, and extensive.
