  • Martin Eisler was born in Vienna, in 1913, and graduated in architecture in 1936, where he had contact with Bauhaus professors. He has also lived in Prague. Due to the rise of fascist regimes in Europe, he moved to Argentina in 1938. He was naturalized Argentinian after marrying for convenience, and he was soon divorced. In Argentina, he began his career as an architect, scenographer, and interior designer. Through a renovation project, he met his wife Rose Wolf, sister of Ernesto Wolf, who would also become a partner at Móveis Artesanal, company owned by them.

During his time in Buenos Aires, he worked with Susi Aczel (1931-present), who was also an Austrian and was graduated in technical design, acting as an interior designer. Together, they designed some pieces of furniture. In 1961, Susi would come to direct Forma S.A. in Buenos Aires, a branch of the Brazilian company.

In 1953, Eisler came to São Paulo to develop an interior project for his brother-in-law, Ernesto Wolf, and he designed furniture for the first time. These pieces of furniture were produced by Móveis Artesanal, that until then had Carlo Hauner as the only owner. Carlo enjoyed his work and a new partnership began. At the same year, Ernesto Wolf and Martin Eisler came to integrate the societal body of Móveis Artesanal and Eisler moved to São Paulo. After years as an artistic director at Forma, Martin Eisler died in 1977 in São Paulo, aged 64.
