Crafting the Future
Lucas Recchia -
Bossa is pleased to announce the opening of Lucas Recchia's first solo exhibition "Elemental Echoes" from October 3rd to November 2nd, 2024. Born in 1992 on an island in southern Brazil, Recchia has quickly emerged as a distinctive voice in contemporary design. His work draws upon materials with histories spanning thousands of years—glass, bronze, and natural stones—each belonging to a lineage of techniques that have evolved alongside humanity, shaped by the fundamental forces of nature: metals and minerals transformed by fire, tempered by air, and refined by water. This exhibition presents Recchia's talent for merging ancient techniques with contemporary aesthetics, creating forms that reveal the unique properties of each material. His approach is both meticulous and innovative, rediscovering and advancing the use of these time-honored materials. Each piece reflects a profound understanding and respect for the materials he employs.Set within the intimate and carefully curated space of Bossa, this exhibition marks the most extensive presentation of Recchia's work to date
